The Plan....

December 29, 2008

It's about time for us to leave for India, so we wanted to send you our greetings and give you a little info about our trip. In case you want to follow us around India (and London), our trip itinerary is in the next post. We leave on the 31st - Los Angeles to Chicago, and on to Dehli (non-stop....14 hours or so.....) from there. So our New Year's Eve will be somewhere over the Atlantic, at best guess!

We plan to find internet access periodically during the trip - so you should get an update or two. We may not have much time while we're online, so can't promise that we'll be able to reply to messages you may send... But if there is an emergency or something important we should know while we're away - make it obvious in the subject line, please! And...not sure that we'll be able to send any pictures (don't worry, I'll be taking tons!), so here is a Christmas photo of us, so you don't miss us too much while we are gone! :)

And...now that you know we'll be gone for 3 weeks, please don't break into our house. Unless you mow the lawn and water the plants while you are there! :)

Happy 2009!

Love,
Sarah & Gerry

Welcome to our travel journal...

Hello!

Thanks for coming. We thought this could be a nice central place to share our journey through India, photos and all. The next posts will be the messages we wrote while traveling.....with additional comments as necessary. We hope this gives you a taste of our journey.....let us know what else we can share.

Gerry had been to the first three cities on our tour itinerary - and had been to some of the places we went in Goa. But this was Sarah's first time in India, so most of the writing and reflections are hers. We'll try to clarify the voice....but it's usually easy to tell the difference!

Enjoy and safe travels,
Sarah & Gerry
